AVONDALE, Ohio (WKRC) -- Cincinnati Police have filed charges against the mother of 3-year-old L'Eah Johnson who was shot in Avondale.28-year-old Ebony McDavis, has been charged with falsification.A male friend of the mother's, 25-year-old Cordero Warren, was also charged with tampering with evidence and having weapons under disability. Officers have worked tirelessly to gather the facts surrounding the shooting of the toddler. Several Crime Stoppers tips and dozens of interviews assisted officers in their investigation.McDavis and Warren misled investigators by stating that 3-year-old L'Eah was outside her home when she was struck by gunfire. Her mother said she was carrying L'Eah while taking out the garbage. At the time of the shooting there had been several unrelated 911 calls reporting shots fired in the area. Additional charges may be pending.Members of District Four police are taking up a collection for gifts and toys to ensure L'Eah has a happy holiday. The child is currently still in the hospital recovering. In a press release Thursday Councilman Smitherman praised the Cincinnati Police Department for solving the mystery behind the shooting of this young girl.
