Welcome to Bakers Acres! When we decided to go to a local campground, I checked out the Google earth view and it looked like it was surrounded by neighborhoods. When we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. If we didn’t like the spot they would make efforts to get us into one we would like. We stayed in #88 which has water and Electric right in the spot. We set up camp and proceeded to check out the campgrounds. There is a nautical theme about the place and when you get to the “Small village set up” there is a sign that dedicates what you see to the original community and how they lived in the area and the people that has mostly faded into the past, but left their stories behind. Baker’s Acres has a volleyball field, Horseshoe pit, Beautiful in-ground swimming pool, a camp store with about anything you would require from camping gear to Goldfish crackers. Also located there is a video game room and a pavilion that doubles at night as an outdoor movie theater. The campground is larger than I thought it would have been with lots of spaces. The road layout makes it easy to navigate around. I took the bike out to the hiking trail and was amazed to see multiple deer and a large fox on the trails. They have a tractor hay ride and hold different camping events. With all the room they have there you wouldn’t even know there was a neighborhood just outside the main entrance. There are fire rings at every site, they sell large bundles of firewood for only $5.00 and they have seasonal spots that you can back your RV right into. They have Wifi and even as far as I was from the main building it was still fast. It rained the weekend we were there, but it did not slow anyone down from having fun here. Could only imagine how lively this place is on a sunny weekend. I would most defiantly stay here again givin the chance.
