Dutch pianist Thomas Beijer performs his all time favourite Mozart work: the second movement of the 'Piano Sonata No.9, K. 311'. Thomas: "It's like the sonata ran away from one of Mozart's opera's. I can hear the Italian words through the music. Words like... cara and amore."
Mozart: raw, pure and uncut. AVROTROS Klassiek asked five pianists to pick their favourite Mozart piece and play it in front of a small camera and recording team. In an empty hall in the northern part of Amsterdam they performed their most treasured Mozart on a Steinway D piano. Without editing, played in one piece.
