"Sentimental Journey" is a song written by Les Brown (1912-2001) with Ben Homer (unknown), and the lyrics were written by Bud Green (1897-1981). It coincidentally was released at the end of WWII, and became the unofficial homecoming song for WWII veterans. The most famous version is sung by Doris Day (1922-?) in 1945. This was Doris's 1st #1 hit, and the start of a very successful music career. Today at 90 she is still active with her singing. "Sentimental Journey", has been done by many artists including Ella Fitzgerald and Ringo Starr. Enjoy!
