OK, I just got through listening to Jim Nabors knock a song out of the part and I seen this and had to click on it. It appears a lot of these actors were probably polished vocalist long before their television careers.

+Robin Adams I always said that Ken Curtis did not get the recognition he deserved. If I remember right he was a member of the sons of the pioneers.

Thank you ever so much for uploading this wonderful total gem.... I remember watching it the night it aired and was just transfixed.... It is always a pleasure to watch talent even after all these years.... There was so much talent back in those Hollywood days that many people are unaware of what the stars could actually do, they had to be able to sing, dance as well as act, not only that but they all had to live up to their high profile image properly.... So many stars could do all these things extremely well, sadly that is not the case now for they are not stars, they are only just so, so as actors and poorly at that..... Always loved watching Ken Curtis as "Festus" he was such a wonderful character, GREAT ACTOR AND SINGER ..... RESR IN PEACE KEN CURTIS, LOVED YOUR CAREER, YOU ARE SO MISSED.

There was also a Sunday morning Concert featuring the Sons of the Pioneers. I used to have a recording of that show (sat in front of the TV and recorded it with my little cassette recorder/player) but lost that recording years ago. I still wish that someone might upload that one. It was a true classic.
