The introduction of the documentary, "King Corn," in which Ian and Curt have their hair analyzed by a University of Virginia professor and find that they have corn trace in their hair as a result of their American diet of processed food with corn syrup used as sweetener and beef, poultry and pork are also corn-fed due to its low cost, subsidized by the government.
