The Ford Institute for Human Security will host Brooke White, president of Bright Kids Foundation USA at 11:00 a.m. Mon., Nov. 7 in W. Posvar Hall, room 3431.

Bright Kids Uganda has been operating since 2000 and is located in Entebbe, Uganda. The orphanage assists children from various backgrounds ranging from street kids, HIV/AIDS orphans, children who have been living at Internally Displaced Peoples' Camps and those rescued from the rebels in Northern Uganda. The Bright Kids Uganda Foundation U.S.A. is an American nonprofit committed to raising funds to support Bright Kids Uganda.

Purposeful Penny, a Pitt student organization sponsored by GSPIA's Student Initiative Fund, supports efforts aimed at providing education to underprivileged children through collecting donations in the form of loose change (pennies, dimes, nickels and quarters).
