This is an exploration of variations in the Spiral Staircase (or you may know it as the Escalator). Specifically, we explore integrating turns but we also explore a variety of catches. You will notice that the turns happen when the hoop is in contact with the back of the neck if it is coming down or in contact with the stomach if it is going up. The contact (or axis) has moved from hand to body, then the turn occurs. I'm not sure I said that so I wanted to clarify. As always, you can use arm, hand, and finger-work to add flourishes.
