WAITING ON THE DOOR Well a bad fog was lying out there in the middle way. So I found myself fully wrapped in a white cloud. I looked forward and, well, I just could not see anything. You know it all can happen when you're gone and walking blind. I had to watch my step but I just went ahead. I wasn't plucky or brave, man, I only had no choice. The wind amused himself by make me stumble. I was like a feather at the mercy of a storm. And all my best images seemed so far away. Fuzzy and dusty, scattered on the floor. And all the messy lies I gathered every day were back and they were waiting on the door. I was told it was a madness I remember well. But I liked to see what's on the other side. And I'll have no regrets when I'll be in hell, because, you know, I used my wings to fly. And I see men with one foot in the grave, they don't know what they're looking for. All the dreams I gathered every day are back and waiting on the door. And I was drifting so far away, where you find no border line. Then I woke up and I realized: I was lyin' on the floor.
