James Duncan, Chair, Bay Street Children's Foundation joined Gary Knight, Vice President, Trading, Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange to open the market to kick-off the 16th annual Bay Street Brokers Softball Challenge. Funds raised by the Softball Challenge support programs at the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, Giant Steps Toronto/York Region and The Children's Aid Society of Toronto. Since 1996, the Foundation has raised just under $2 million dollars for a variety of charities including the Phillip Aziz Centre and The Children's Breakfast Club. Teams from Toronto, New York and Chicago will participate in this year's event, along with an NHL alumni team featuring Mark Napier, Clark Gillies, Mike Pelyk and Bobby Nystrom.
