http://nichehacks.com - check out Stuarts blog
First and foremost I just want to give a shout out to Stuart Walker and Nichehacks.com. It’s an awesome resource and Stuart has taught me a lot about blogs and traffic generation. So make sure to get over there and check it out!
Now I bring this up because I was inspired by a question that Stuart posted in his NichHacks Private Mastermind Facebook group (go ask to join it). He asked everybody a neat question:
How many hours a week on average do you work in your day job? Are you happy with the amount of hours you are doing?
The responses were unreal. I could not believe all of the people in that facebook group who worked 40, 50, and even 80 hours a week at jobs that they really didn’t like at all.
I was floored.
I have an opinion on it and I know it’s going to be the kind of thing that people don’t want to hear because who really wants to hear that it’s their fault. Nobody does.
The fact is, if you cannot make money right now online then you aren’t focused enough, you aren’t committed enough and you just aren’t trying hard enough.
Be honest with yourself. You’re not working right now. Reading this article is not working on your venture.
There are 4 main things that you must do to be successful but before I get into them understand something. There are two BIG things that you MUST understand before you even start doing them.
First, making money online requires a real commitment to one path. You must be certain in your intention and clear in your motive. If you falter for just a moment you will be lost. How do they say it?
If you don’t stand for something…you will fall for anything.
Secondly, all business comes with risk. If you want to work for yourself…if you want to be in business online…understand that you must take risks to get that going. I propose cutting the job that you’re working 50 hours a week at now down to part time, making it about 25 hours a week and put 30 hours a week into your online business.
That is risk.
If you are thinking, “I can’t do that, I have bills and a mortgage to pay!” then you are really starting to get to the heart of the matter. The fact is you have a comfort zone. You’re going to have to step outside of it to change your life for the better. It is risk. True blue, “I want to be a goddamn successful entrepreneur and I will make that happen or die trying” risk. You’re going to have to experience it to get to the successful place you SAY you want.
Okay so that all being said what do you need to do?
Well, I know many of you think you’re being productive by watching my videos or reading this article but you’re not. You are on YOUR time doing this. You’re not contributing to your business in any way by reading this article. You’re not moving your goals forward whatsoever.
Education is great…but understand it’s on your time. Educate to make yourself better. Find inspiration wherever you can. However, when it’s business time, get to work.
The first thing you need to do is set a real, solid goal. Something that you see as JUST out of your reach.
Burn this goal into your mind.
It must be one of the most important things you have. More important than your stupid job. More important than grocery shopping or hanging out with your friends or even checking your messages. Burn it into your mind as a priority and do not deviate.
The second thing you must do is strategize for your goal. You need real actionable things that you can do that are focused on accomplishing your goal directly.
Next was simple. I was going to actually do what I said I was going to do. This becomes much easier when you give yourself something actual to do. I needed to implement. You will need to implement you strategy if you plan on making money online. Talking, and making lists are not going to get you there. You need to implement.
And finally, probably the most important thing of all…you need to adjust. Adjust weekly. See how things went your first week of implementation versus how things were going before. See what was really positively responded to and what was not and adjust accordingly. Follow the interest of your audience. Set an hour a day on the same day every week (Friday for example) to look at your analytics and reflect on what worked that week and how you could move it this coming week.
That’s it and you didn’t even need a 2 hour webinar to understand.
Goal, Strategize, Implement, Adjust. In that order.
What are you waiting on? You should be on adjust by tomorrow.
That’s all I got! I’ll see you guys in the next one!
