I move from the realization that the followers of JC were deeply committed to observing Torah, including animal sacrifices 30 years after the crucifixion, to the question of "Why?" I use the uniqueness of the Gospel of John, which has less than 5% in common with any other Gospel, to show that those who actually walked and talked with JC had so much more information to base their practice on than what we find in the Matthew, Mark & Luke. And according to the practice of the elders in Jerusalem, including JC's brother, James, they understood the message of JC to include observing Jewish customs, the traditions of Moses, circumcision, voluntary vows according to Torah, animal sacrifices, including sin offerings, burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, etc.
