When Lizzie the pony began to show some uncharacteristic behaviour, our vet diagnosed that she has developed a large tumour. While it is not life threatening at the moment, this growth needs to be removed before her condition deteriorates any further.
The surgery will hopefully take place at a veterinary hospital in Newmarket, and is likely to cost in the region of £2000 - £3000. If you would like to help contribute to Lizzie's operation please visit: http://www.hillside.org.uk/ or call Hillside Animal Sanctuary on: 01603 - 736200. Thank you.
Update 11th August 2009 - Lizzie is back home with her friends following her successful operation at Newmarket. Soon to be shown here - a film showing her recovering at Hillside. A big thank you to everybody who supported Lizzie's Appeal.
