PONTECH chipKIT (Arduino Compatible) Quick240 controls two independent axis (8 inch Velox slides) at 800 inches per minute. 0.00025" resolution

This step and direction library is open source. Although still in development it is quite usable. In this demo the Quich240 is generating two independent 100kHz step signals with only about 10% CPU utilization.

The StepAndDirection library is in our PIC32 library here: https://github.com/pontech/pic32lib

The library is mean to work with the BigEasy Kards, but in this example we are using an sink drive kard to drive the inputs of a Leadshine stepper driver. In the video the Leadshine drive used is the HBS57, but we've since changed one axis to the HBS86 to get a bit more torque.

There is very little torque at this high speed, but it could be good for a laser application or a print head.
