I've always had an... interesting relationship with this song, so when I got a new microphone, I thought this would be an easy/silly way to become comfortable with its uses. I then recruited my friend Scott McGlasson to play the cello part, and to fool around with the viola part as well, to make it a bit funny.
Also of note is that this is (mostly) the first video with a high quality video, and thus is a major step for me! Lotsa fun.
1) The song is Kaepora Gaebora, from The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time (LoZ OoT if you will). 2) There is almost no originality, almost a strict transcription. That being said, it is not MIDI. 3) I am wearing a (a) tux and a (b) garish shirt. Scott is wearing a (a) suit and (b) full-on ski gear. Why? Because we are that awesome. 4) Some things to look out for: Scott's ski's, Scott fighting not to laugh in the second half of the video (bottom right), and my braids! Where are they? Find them all! Also, if you can find the mysterious harpist... kudos to you!
Next project on the list of things to do is Pi Day (Friday Parody) music video and a Saltarello electronic/oboe remix. I hope they are both done before the end of February.
