George talks with a recent college grad experiencing shock and awe with regards to the current job climate. College students spend great time, energy and financial resources in the pursuit of a degree. Many are hitting a brick wall in seeking good paying work. Many are taking minimum wage jobs, or leaving the country to teach english. It seem that America will soon face a massive "brain drain" in reverse, where our best and brightest young people choose to pursue work overseas. A very sad ending to the story of a first world power.

Millions to Lose Jobless Benefits by Year's End

While hundreds of House members and dozens of senators hit the campaign trail in a fight to save their jobs with help from President Obama, more than 2 million out-of-work Americans are faced with dropping into unemployment obscurity by the end of the year.

Though Congress last month passed a jobless benefits extension, the boost only lasts until Nov. 30 -- that means a backlog of recipients will drop off those benefits all at once come December. Between the end of August and the end of the calendar year, approximately 2.37 million Americans will stop getting unemployment checks, according to Labor Department statistics.


With laid-off investment bankers snapping up jobs in retail and MBAs barely worth the paper they're printed on, college seniors are approaching graduation day with a mixture of dread and resignation.

As a recent graduate from a university rated "Most Selective" by US News & World Report, Tyler was understandably disappointed when he landed in a cubicle-drone job that barely pays minimum wage—that is, until he was laid off and ended up substitute teaching for even less.
