for some reason whenever I hear the line "Peddlers up frae the border" all I can hear is "Hitler is a bit a bother"

I don't hear kine, just kye, and kye are the same thing, cattle, from the word kyloe, a name for Highland cattle
I have to say, I have always heard the "Peddlers up frae the border" line correctly, but it took a little while to realise he was talking about 'kine' rather than 'kye' (no idea what 'kye' may be!).

+SayuriOxygen It's the Scots dialect 'Doric' - used in North-Eastern Scotland

I'm probably 10,000 of the 39,000 views on here, haha. Can any draw out some acoustic sheet music for this!?!?!

Great song! I'd love to see the original version by Battlefield Band uploaded here.
Can someone give me an English translation of this song? I'm Italian so sometimes I find difficult to understand even British English. Scottish for me is truly a puzzle. I'll come to Scotland this summer and since I'm really fascinated by scottish culture I would like to learn new things about it even through these wonderful songs.
found this by way of Charlie's moonlight route to the coast! Beautiful sound, boys!
