Park Police inspected McPherson Square for compliance with Clark v. CCNV decision, in an activity that lasted over 14 hours. U.S. Park Police asked everyone to leave the final area of the park for inspection. One protester said, "So many tents were thrown out, that's why things escalated. Protesters were more reluctant to leave the final area because it was subject to destruction." Some protesters conducted a sit in in protest of the usurpation of the commons. Many protesters were unable to move due to the large crowd behind them, and some were trampled when Police moved in. Allegedly the man arrested at the end of this video had assaulted a Police Officer. As of Feb 5 2012, there are still protesters in and around McPherson Square, able to have tents as a symbol, per Clark v. CCNV Supreme Court Decision, of the protest against economic inequality. Some have vowed to attempt to rest in the park that night. Freedom Plaza, the other camp, has yet to be confronted with a massed Police presence and forced removal as of Feb 5.
