For a week in October 2014, eight students from Pearson College had the Royal BC Museum as their classroom. Together the students reflected on their perception of home and belonging, used the Royal BC Museum as a backdrop to investigate issues within their own home country, and deepened their connection to themselves and each other.

Using audio and video recordings of interviews with each other, the students were able to craft these oral history documents by telling their own story. And by doing so, embedded their own stories within the museum landscape.

Thanks to the intelligence and courage of the students for diving right in, and to the Ministry of Casual Living and the Story Booth Project for mentoring the students. And thank you to Jon Weller for recording and working with the students to edit the videos
