This is a halling from Härjedalen adopted from Per Myhr (1843-1945). I play it on the spilåpipa (a type of Swedish herding flute). The spilåpipa have 7 or 8 finger holes, but no hole for the thumb. Halling is a type of tune that accompanies the dance with the same name. A very acrobatic dance indeed. It´s danced manily in Norway, but is also danced is some parts of Sweden.
