The first of a series of artistic experiment where people's perceptions and opinions of a world without poverty were gauged. A blackboard was rolled through some of the streets of Cairo with one provocative sentence written on it: A world without poverty is a world... 2015 is a social movement that uses art to creatively raise awareness,campaign and take action to address issues of poverty in the Arab region.
In the year 2000, nearly 200 world leaders pledged to eradicate extreme poverty by the year 2015. Today millions of people still live in poverty and many of them are in the Arab region. World leaders have failed. Now is the moment for us, the people, to get engaged, take responsibility and inspire each other to create a tidal wave of social change that works on addressing poverty issues in our communities and beyond.
