There are an estimated 300,000 trafficking victims in the United States every year. The average age of entry into prostitution is just 13 years old with an average life expectancy of seven years. During this time, a girl may service up to 30 clients per day while enduring torture, abuse, and drugs to keep her in line.
Behind this great and growing evil is the blight of pornography which both funds and promotes the industry by driving countless men into deeper deviancy and lustful desires. To end sex trafficking, we need to stop the demand for more and more girls. And that starts at home.
"But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, impurity of any kind, or greed, as these are not fitting for the saints. For you can be confident of this one thing: that no person who is immoral, impure, or greedy (such a person is an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let nobody deceive you with empty words, for because of these things God's wrath comes on the sons of disobedience." (Ephesians 5:3,5-6 NET)
