The most successful female surfer of all time with seven ASP World Tour Championships, Layne Beachley is also the founder of the Aim for the Stars Foundation, which each year provides grants to encourage, motivate and provide for aspiring women with financial and moral support in areas such as music, science, culture, arts and sport, and for which Layne was recently named one of 100 Women of Influence by the AFR and Westpac. She recently launched the B'INSPIRED program for early high school students and has since 2006 staged the annual Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic, the richest women's stand alone surfing event which continues to build on its enormous success.
At the 2013 Saxton Ultimate Event Experience Layne spoke about importance of pursuing your passion, whatever it may be, by way of a fortuitous story involving Matt Damon and a lost passport.
