Patricia shares her latest research for an upcoming book about mysteries of consciousness around death and dying, to be released in 2013. Patricia Pearson is an award-winning novelist and journalist whose most recent book is the critically acclaimed memoir Brief History of Anxiety...Yours and Mine, assigned "major points for wit and flair" by the New York Times. She has written extensively for newspapers and magazines, including the New Yorker, New York Times and the Guardian, and has been featured or interviewed on National Public Radio, the BBC, CNN and Canadian national media. Her comic novel Playing House was shortlisted for the Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour, and adapted for television. She has won several National Magazine Awards, as well as the Arthur Ellis award for best non-fiction crime book of 1998.
