Just finished upgrading my Blade 400 with a Tarot ZYX 3-Axis Gyro + 450 PRO Flybarless Head combo (ZYX03). This is the same underlying hardware as the CoptorX 3X-1000 and ALZRC 3GYS. Flying starts at 2:40... before then just setting tail gain...

All I can say is... wow! I mean WOW! This is a whole new helicopter!

I can't believe how responsive it is! Wicked cyclic! My B400 was always stable, but it absolutely flies on rails now and is a total power house! Looks like my new Trex 450 Pro is gonna take back seat for a while ;-)

Set her up for +-12 degrees pitch and 8 degrees cyclic. There was room before binding to go all the way to 12 cyclic, but... that would just be ridiculous, no? On the tail is a stock EFlight analog servo, which just doesn't feel locked in yet but is completely flyable... will be adjusting the ball distance and internal gyro gain to try and get this sorted. Hitec HS-65HB analog servos for cyclic work perfectly well.

The hardware was for the most part drop dead simple to install, but did need a 6" extension lead for the elevator servo. I bought the heli used with a CNC head/swashplate, so have not checked if the stock shaft and swashplate can be used unmodified with the Tarot 450PRO FBL head. Programming threw me for a loop for a while, but eventually got it sorted.

Will try to follow up with a build and setup video later... and... more flying... stay tuned...

See this link for a second maiden flight after replacing the tail servo, really locking it in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcpbMD...
