"There Goes My Baby" written by Benjamin Nelson (Ben E. King), Lover Patterson and George Treadwell was the first recording by the new Drifters which featured Ben E. King as the lead vocalist. Recorded on March 6, 1959 and released in May on Atlantic Records, it was one of the biggest hits during the summer of 1959, reaching number one on the Billboard R&B chart and number two on the Hot 100. With the innovative use of strings, timpani, and baion beat, record producers Leiber and Stoller broke new ground. This sound recording is administered by INgrooves ,WMG & Made in Etaly.
