Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe has told the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva that UKs Channel-4 should immediately make an apology to Sri Lanka for releasing an unauthenticated video on Sri Lanka. Giving his views from Geneva on the address he made at the 12th sessions of the Human Rights Council, Minister Samarasinghe said he informed of his statement regarding the cassette the Channel-4 doctored video footage to the Council. A conspiracy is in place at international level to de-stabilize the country which has eliminated terrorism after 30 years and facing the challenges successfully. He also informed that independent investigations have proved that the tape had been doctored. He said that he has informed that before giving publicity, the authenticity of such video footage should to be confirmed.
