Here are some details on the new Oakley Woods tournament hoop: Weight 7 lb - 1 oz Height to underside of crown from bottom point of stanchion 22" 3 fins 120 degrees apart with one aligned with the direction of ball travel Stanchion diameter 3/4" Crown diameter 5/8" (for standard clips) Run-out from ground to hoop top is less than .020"
This video features four aggressive steep angle hoop shots. The first three were double taps as revealed in the slow motion playback. The exit direction shown in the graphic is an estimate. The third shot may have gone a little more to the left. The fourth shot which was clean went straight out. Total hoop clearance for the ball was between a 1/32" and 1/64". The hoop was planted in fresh ground (sand based at the NCC in West Palm Beach). Dawson balls were used.
