Kate Middleton and the Queen share some bonding time! OnCam: Hi there, I'm Lauren Bradshaw, and we have your look at the Duchess of Cambridge and her grandmother-in-law on their trip through the UK in today's PopSugar Rush.
Even more quality time for Kate Middleton and the Queen! Kate joined William's grandmother this morning in the city of Leicester to kick off the first day of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee tour of the UK. The women arrived by train, shaking hands and greeting the locals, before taking in a fashion presentation at De Montfort University and later joining Prince Philip at a church service.
Everywhere they went, Kate was looking very much the part of a royal in a LK Bennett suit and stylish James Lock hat, giving a perfect princess wave to cheering fans, as you can see in this video from The Telegraph.
For more on their time together, here's TresSugar editor Annie Scudder:
— Prince William still in Falkland Islands, and during her time in Leicester, Kate reportedly told one well-wisher that she was missing him terribly — But she does seem to be doing fine on her own — The Queen inviting her to these events shows her approval of Kate — She was just with the Queen and Camilla for another public appearance in London last week — Diamond Jubilee tour continues into July, so we may see the women pop up together again
Kate's day-trip in Leicester will wrap up tonight when the queen receives a gift from the city, but meanwhile Prince Harry is spreading the family message in Jamaica.
As for William, he'll hopefully be reunited with Kate soon. If all goes according to plan, his tour of duty in the Falkland Islands should be wrapping up within the next two weeks.
