Destiny sat completely still as Duke read through his novel. Her eyes watched the countryside pass her by slowly. She heard groans every now and then from her father in the carriage behind them. What pained her mostly was hearing one of the guards command him to shut up and a crack sound coming. Her heart was in agony and she didn't have a weapon in sight. She looked down at her own bible and whipped through the pages as she came to Lachlan woods. "You're very quiet, my dear." Duke said eyeing her suspiciously. "I do not wish to speak when I hear my father groaning in agony behind me." She spoke already knowing a blow from Duke. "Oh, my dear. He'll be free soon, and you'll be mine." Duke stroked her neck as his hand paused right above her breast. "Take your hands off off me!" Destiny commanded. "MY DEAR, YOU ARE MINE." He growled as he leaped at her, Destiny knocked her elbow right into Duke's nose as he knocked back. "You're going to regret that." Duke spoke touching his broken nose. Before Duke could pull out his dagger, a giant clank and crash went from the carriage behind them. "MY LORD, THE CARRIAGE HAS BROKEN APART." Destiny looked up at the footmen who steered the horses over the bride. Snapping sounds came from the outside hearing the bridge beginning to give way. Destiny's face hit the door during the bridge's ropes snapped. She groaned seeing Duke break the top off the carrige and climb out. "DUKE!" She screamed as the carriage tetteerd. Destiny ripped her dress from the ankle up to her knee as she fixed her boots, another clank as Duke ran off with the nearest horse. "KNIGHT!" Destiny screamed in despair as she heard someone running along the bride. Knight and Liam were struggling to grab the unconscious King Philip. "Liam, the carriage is going to go straight down for the river. I saw Duke ride off." Liam nodded but heards screams from afar. "Destiny." Liam whispered, One of his men grasped him by the shoulder. "YOU'LL GET KILLED." "That's a risk I'm willing to take." Liam shrugged him off as he took off sprinting towards the carriage. Destiny struggled as she remained her balance on the carriage, she heard the second rope beginning to tear. "HELP!" She screamed, she heard the door snap and swing open. "Destiny, grasp my hand!" Liam yelled, Destiny reached forward as the second rope snapped, she flung out of the carriage and grasped Liam's hand as they both flew out of the bridge. Liam groaned and stretched his arm out latched onto the nearest branch. Destiny hung onto him but she was beginning to slip, "Liam!" She began to whimper. "MEN! GRAB THE ROPE." The snapped bridge was beginning to sway back and fourth. An idea struck into Destiny's head as the rope flung over. "That rope won't hold the two of us."
