What if one day your child suddenly began exhibiting mysterious symptoms like something out of a horror movie?

Timothy Caulfield, Canada’s official pseudoscience debunker and host of the Netflix hit "A User’s Guide to Cheating Death," dives into the real science behind the rare and just recently discovered disease Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis -- an illness that many researchers now attribute to pronouncements of demonic possession, hysteria and madness.

When their teenage daughter begins to experience symptoms of severe neurologic dysfunction, a devoted husband and wife -- who both happen to have PhD’s in immunology – use every tool at their disposal to keep their high-achieving daughter from becoming permanently disabled by a misdiagnosis.
