To show their support in the fight against breast cancer, Vancouver's Mount Saint Joseph Hospital staff, physicians and volunteers donned pink surgical gloves to tape their official entry into the Pink Glove Dance Competition.
This video was also created as fundraising initiative supporting Tapestry Foundation's campaign for a greatly needed second digital mammography machine at the hospital.
The dance competition grew from an idea developed at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon to raise awareness of breast cancer. The original Pink Glove Dance video, featuring more than 200 employees, became an instant Internet sensation with more than 13 million views on YouTube. In two short years, the video has inspired countless pink dance videos and events around the world - including MSJ's entry.
