#MAYDAY2012 While thousands march under the Occupy banner in cities across the nation (and all over the world), CNN airs nonstop footage of The President's (conveniently timed) "secret trip" to Afghanistan... while peaceful protesters in Oakland are tear-gassed by a militant Oakland PD that has chosen to roll tanks out into public streets... while Labor Unions join Occupy protestors in solidarity, packing themselves as far as the eye can see down Broadway, marching toward Wall St, surrounded by armies of police... CNN can't find the time to show any of it. Because POTUS made a (again, conveniently timed) trip to Afghanistan. Yet, CNN (or, to be fair, possibly DirecTV) can find the time to show this advertisement, paid for by American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity.
The commercial tells Americans to "focus on reality" (Mega-Corporations) and "not rhetoric" (Occupy Wall St protests), because there's an energy crises at hand. To which, apparently, they are the answer.
Astounding, expected... and not surprising in the least. For those monitoring Mainstream Media all day today it's been 100% propaganda served up by the exclusive 1%. They no longer pay journalists to be journalists, so don't expect journalism. But, do, however, share their propaganda with the world.
