Dr. Bessma Momani is Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Waterloo and the Balsillie School of International Affairs in Canada.
She is Senior Fellow at two internationally respected think-tanks: the Centre For International Governance and Innovation in Waterloo and Brookings Institution in Washington, DC.

Dr. Momani is a regular contributor to national and international media on the Arab Spring and on global economic governance issues.

She maintains a blog at CIGI called Wealth and International Politics, a column on Huffington Post, and is a Roundtable Contributor on the Canadian International Council.

She is a specialist on the International Monetary Fund, the Arab Spring, the global economy, and on economic liberalization in the Middle East. She was a Canada-US Fulbright Scholar, a visiting associate at the Mortara Center in Georgetown University, and a fellow of the Amman Institute.
