Jennette McCurdy's seventh track from her self-titled EP under Capitol Records Nashville, available now at Justice Stores.
"I really love it because it's got a soulful vibe" - Jennette
Information: "Have To Say Goodbye" was released on February 8, 2012. The song was the only song on the EP that has never been heard by any of Jennette's fans because it wasn't performed by her at all. However, lyrics to the song were leaked a few months before the release on the internet.
Personal Review: When I had first seen the lyrics of the song I thought it could have been a great, slow ballad. And it's the complete opposite! It's soulful, kind of R&B, pop, and a little bit of country here and there. For some reason I always think of church singers when I listen to the background singers, anyone else? The music is funky, fun and mid-tempo and it's fun to sing along to it but this isn't a song that I went "wow" after I first heard it. It's good but nothing more than that. Also, it isn't exactly a song that showcases Jennette's amazing vocal ability, even though she sings great in it... It's just a fun and relaxing way to close off the album that leaves you with a smile on your face. I give it 3.5/5 Stars!
