Anton LaVey plainly teaches in 'The Satanic Bible' that the hand sign (with or without the thumb extended), is a gesture showing recognition and allegiance between members of Satanism and other unholy groups.

Everywhere we turn these days we are seeing politicians, influential people, power figures, and celebrities and their fans flashing the Satanic hand sign. What does all this mean? It means that the appearance of the Antichrist (the Beast) is drawing near.
