Did you know that there are millions upon millions of preserved plants in herbarium research collections around the world? How do botanists preserve the plants they study, and what kinds of research projects make use of herbarium collections? We went to UC Berkeley to find out! In this episode, Specht Lab PhD students Joyce Chery and Carrie Tribble tell us all about Berkeley's herbaria and how they plan to use and add to the collections there.

To find out more about Carrie and Joyce's research, check out the Specht Lab website: http://spechtlab.berkeley.edu/
