This video was shown to the student body of Staples High School the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend 2012. In this video, Lt. Col. Thomas Armas, a hero of 9/11 and retired Marine, and J.J. Mathewson, Staples student, talk about military service and what Memorial Day might mean to a high school student. What Lt. Col. Armas says in this video many students found surprising. Also, this video was edited down to 15 minutes to fit the limits of YouTube, and so it is a bit shorter than the original shown to the Student body.
There is a video clip of Lt. Col. Aramas which is the property of Liongate. We used a short clip of this video for educational purposes only.
