La hormiga europea Aphaenogaster senilis usa pequeños palos, hojas y piedras para acarrear miel y agua azucarada. Este es un comportamiento muy eficiente, aunque existe controversia sobre su verdadero estatus: ¿es un comportamiento instrumental o quizá sólo pseudoinstrumental?
