In October 2008, Richard Garriott spent 12 days in space as a private astronaut. Richard will discuss his journey to the International Space Station, what it took to get there, and his opinion on the future of civilian access to space.

The son of astronaut Owen Garriott, Richard was born in England and raised in Texas. Also known as "Lord British," Garriott was a pioneer in the field of computer game design. He founded the highly influential software company Origin Systems and created the Ultima series of role-playing games.
