Elizabeth Hoover, Assistant Professor of American Studies and Ethnic Studies, gave a short gallery talk in the Museum's new CultureLab to share her experience using the CultureLab with her class "Thawing the Frozen Indian: American Indian Museum Representation." Her class has been meeting in CultureLab weekly to explore objects from the Museum's collections. Some of these objects will become a part of a new exhibit open in May, 2012 curated by the class.

Elizabeth Hoover received her Ph.D. in Anthropology from Brown University in 2010 and her M.A. in Anthropology and Museum Studies from Brown in 2003. As a student, she had a meaningful relationship with the Museum, serving as a proctor and as a student representative on the board. We are excited that Dr. Hoover is continuing that relationship as a member of the faculty here at Brown.
