Canada's prime minister has been laying on some entertainment of his own during a visit to Jerusalem.
The premier serenaded guests with a rendition of the Beatles' "Hey Jude" at an official reception on Tuesday night.
At the dinner hosted by Israeli prime minister Netanyahu, Harper - who was on his first state visit earlier this week - played piano and crooned the 60's hit backed up by that night's musical entertainment, The Sixties.
He also played a cover of "With a Little Help from my Friends."
Canada has produced numerous musical superstars, from Bryan Adams to Celine Dion, but so far the nation has not been known for its singing politicians.
Harper's vocal performance may be fittingly described in the region as "wailing," but it didn't stop the guests enjoying the spectacle, with Netanyahu describing it as "terrific."
