On a peaceful December 2011 OWS march, Commanding Officer of all Southern Manhattan brutally arrested livestreamer Josh Boss in front of hundreds of protestors and dozens of cops. All charges against Boss were dismissed. Boss sued for false arrest, and the City settled for $55,000 for never damage. Purtell has subsequently been promoted.
