James is head of Blindspot think tank, applying systems thinking to intermingled global crises. He advises on ending the failure to solve any global problem by solving them all - as a whole system. He is a Fellow of the Earth Systems Governance Project and works on collective intelligence with MIT's Climate CoLab as well as contributing to the NATO Science Programme. In a wonderfully concise and well-informed talk, James tells us which levers to put pressure on to turn our future into a sustainable one.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations).
