Lyrics:

My skin is like a map
Of where my heart has been
And I cant hide the marks
Its not a negative thing
So I let down my guard
Drop my defences down by my clothes
I'm learning to fall
With no safety net to cushion the blow

I bruise easily
So be gentle when you handle me
Theres a mark you leave
Like a love heart carved on a tree
I bruise easily
Can't scratch the surface
Without moving me underneath
I bruise easily
I bruise easily

I found your fingerprints
On a glass of wine
Do you know you're leaving them
All over this heart of mine too
But if I never take this leap of faith
I'll never know
So im learning to fall
With no safety net to cushion the blow

Everyone sees something differently in this video. What I saw was a woman wearing a disguised heart towards the one that loves her, cautious of the damage that could be done to it. Eventually, she pulls a way the layers and shows her true self, despite the chances of severe pain and scarring.

Beautiful and underrated song. One of Natasha's best songs ever. Love this touching song. Such a damn shame that this wasn't a bigger hit in the UK charts . Brilliant 2005 song.

If this video was done in 2016, I guarantee you, she would get blasted for cultural appropriation.

Most of you missed the point anyway, the Geisha costume was a DISGUISE in a HOTEL that she stayed in , and got hurt by a cheating loved one. The lyrics back it up mentioning the fingerprints on the glass, and easily hurt. The rest of you offended need to seek help and get over yourselves.
