when i was in high school, i had a shift at my hometown radio station, and this song was the B side of their single "Do It Or Die"...and since i had a habit of flipping records over, this song became a favorite of mine, and is to this day.

when i heard that ronnie passed away on monday, i took my guitar into the kitchen after work and played this song over and over - and i thought i'd add it to my channel as a tribute to one of the most amazing voices in rock and roll.

(note: i'm doing this a full step lower than ronnie sang it, and those high notes are still a strain - it's a testament to just how great a vocalist he was.)

hey, gang - for everyone whos' commented on this video asking about the chords, how to play it, et cetera...well, i finally sat down and made a video that'll step you through how to play it - here's the link: http://youtu.be/LugN9NRL6_c if the link doesn't work for any reason, you can find it by browsing the other videos on the channel, here...play on, folks...and long live the Boys From Doraville.
Just found this looking to see if this song had been used at Ronnie's memorial--I didn't know him, but admired his talent since the beginning and this song is one of my favorites. The thing about a song like this is it relates to more than just a song-- a story, a lifelong pursuit, a dream. I'm no musician, but I have one, we all do.
Hey man 56 yr. old dude here been listening to ARS since.......as far back as I can think of. Man you put tears in my eyes playing that ! You nailed it dead on. You done Ronnie proud, may he rest in peace. ARS one of the best and maybe under appreciated groups of my life time !
