A new Peterson Automated Swingblade Mill (ASM) owner undergoing training with production manager, Chris Browne. The ASM allows the operator to cut to his required dimensions with the touch of a button.
The ASM is cutting sleepers from Australian hardwood and as you can see the blade isn't bogging down nor is the engine straining, even at a 9" depth cut. That is because the engine is a hardy Briggs and Stratton Vanguard 35hp.
Even at the pace of a new ASM owner, this customer is able to cut 80 sleepers a day!
