This level's got its ups and downs, but overall it's not bad. It was included in the pwad compilation HEROES.WAD, and has had an eight and a half minute demo recorded for it by Never_Again (using the -fast parameter). The central feature is a large quadrangle constructed out of walkways, green marble and radioactive slime, and there's a whole bunch of monsters in there either waiting for you or shortly released after you enter. I try to activate everything and get them all woken up before heading elsewhere to get the yellow key, then it's an enjoyable exercise in lining everything up in front of the chaingun. It got a little hairy for me this time though, some cacos snuck in where I wasn't expecting them.

Apart from that, the sargeants hidden in the dead forest at the start are annoying to have to kill, the blue arrows on the floor in the hangar are a bit baffling (they don't point anywhere!) and the final labyrinth is a bit anticlimactic. But everything's strongly constructed, the textures align, there are some nice unexpected touches like the doors that are revealed when the radioactive pool empties. I fall at one point but it only cost me four seconds or so so I don't mind the time.
