Sustainable Housing: A Perth Perspective

This Perth Green Drinks event focused on the issue of sustainable housing, particularly within the context of economic and environmental sustainability.

The three presenters are as follows:

Chiara Pacifici is sustainability training coordinator, home sustainability assessor and founder of the website Green Gurus, working to educate real estate practitioners and support their move towards sustainable practices. In 2010, she completed a Masters of Sustainability Studies at Curtin University focusing on communicating sustainability measures to sellers, buyers, landlords and renters.

Andrew Fairs is the manager of Sustainable Energy Programs at the state government's Public Utilities Office. In the past year he has consulted with the building industry on the newly enforced 6-star energy regulation for new buildings in Western Australia.

Emma Everett is the manager of Strategic Alliances at Momentum Wealth and has been in the real estate industry since 2006. Emma will present information about house prices and their relation to household incomes in Perth, as well as how government planning policy will affect the supply of affordable property in the next decades.
