What is wrong with my iPhone 5 screen?

Does anybody know why my iPhone is doing this? It just randomly turns off in the way shown with the screen dimming and sometimes with vertical lines appearing, even if I'm not actually using it. It happens about once a week, but in bursts, so about once every minute once a week roughly. It usually just stop after about an hour but hasn't this time and I can't find any solutions to or even causes of the problem, or anybody else with the problem. iPhone 5, iOS 9.3.4 - update, now fixed. Hit the phone, didn't work, hit it again, still didn't work. Factory reset and restore, good as new. The battery percentage even works sometimes :D
